Chocolate Pineapple Lily (Eucomis comosa)

Can anyone please tell me if the Chocolate Pineapple Lily (Eucomis comosa) dies down...or does it continually have foliage?

I can't remember.
Ask me during winter.

I don't have one so don't know but from what I read they go dormant in cooler areas.

Marlene . I have not grown it ,what a beautiful flower it has . All sites I looked at say." Dormant"
Also advice is try to keep the bulb from getting too wet during dormancy.
