| With all the tidying up of late, I am edging closer to this area. Lots of slashing, digging etc will be the go....without too much disturbance of the area.....I like the 'almost natural' look. This area relies almost totally on rainfall. The second pic predominantly shows my Disanthus....I love this plant...such lovely foliage. | |

| Sorry Karingal, I must have missed this post That's a great looking area, I love the combination of leaf colour and shape. Is that a Petrea, sandpaper vine, in the top right? | |

| Thanks folks...the frogs like it, they have water nearby. - Gail wrote:

No Gail, that is the blue potato vine (Solanum jasminoides) It can spread..esp. via the berries. My trouble is I love the look of the flowers and the hanging berries. I do have Petrea growing in another area...it doesn't flower a lot...perhaps a bit too shaded? or the nearby tree takes all the goodies from the soil. Thanks Gail, you have given me an idea...I may take a cutting of the Petrea for another spot...in my newly cleared area. | |

| Not the sort of garden I can grow here, Fay, but I really like it. It must have taken a lot of time and effort to get it looking that natural, if you know what I mean. LOL. Well done. | |

| The solanum is a pretty vine even if inclined to be weedy... why do some of the prettiest flowers have to be weeds We have them coming up wild around here, it is hard to pull them out. | |

| Terrible weedy plant here too.. I finally talked the neighbour into digging his out that he planted up against the side boundary fence, we are still getting seedlings popping up though its good to know that there wont be any more when these are gone.. | |
