Great pics, Richard. I love the colours of Autumn..lovely shades of reds and yellows against the green. A wonderful time of year...cool nights, crisp mornings and sunny days.....a 'good to be alive season'.

Beautiful countryside and the skies are lovely and clear. I don't mind the smell of cows (as long as they are fully grass fed not grain fed winky-winky ), miss ours sometimes but the neighbours have a couple.

2kms away there a dead end that runs to the river, down each side are hundreds of wilding pines trees, the last 9 years i've been taking all the double leaders misshaped etc for firewood and trim up best trees, its starting to good now.

We have a log fire that heats our water plus we cook on as well, our power bill is half that of summertime but time of year the waterpump runs 24hours a day.

i hate winter cold tessa, but i enjoy when its snows
