A couple of years ago Pamela sent me one of her Irises and at long last it has flowered. The flower is only small - barely 5cm across - not sure if it is supposed to be bigger - but is very pretty. I love the colour

Thanks Lorraine. It's wet as I was watering when I first noticed it.

That's good then Cheryl. It is right down low amongst the foliage of another iris planted next to it so thought it might have been a bit crowded.

Pamela, this is the only iris you sent me... I think you called it a Japanese Iris but I don't know what they look like. I only have 3 iris - the white Louisiana I bought from the markets, a purple that Mary-Anne gave me and this one.

I wasn't sure whether the flower is just small because this is the first flower but it is only about 4 or 5 cm across and the flower spike would have only been 20 or 30cm high. No sign of other flowers yet.
