I seen lots of JJ in BigW today bush ones bare-rooted only $8 but decided against it. I am going to plant more bulbs instead..

WE CAN ONLY HOPE FOR THE BEST .Does the heavy wasr wash the soil away from the bulbs?

No they are in a small raised garden bed but the sheer amount of rain from last night is sitting up against the brick edge and those are all planted from 30 to 60 cms from the edge and all that water stays there so they rot..
