| I don't think they take long to fruit. We planted one at the school a few years ago and it was fruiting within 12mths while still only a foot high... don't know how old the plant was when they planted it though. It's a tough little plant though as it was never looked after. | |

| Gail maybe the one at the school was a grafted one, mine was a seedling which ca.me up under the trees .Its always best and quicker to plant grafted trees. I have 2 trees they were given to me by a darling little boy of 5 years , his family were moving south because of work. He was given the little plants by his grandmother , he was so fond of them as they reminded him of his grandmother.He asked me to plant them for him in my garden because he said the trees would like to live in a forest. He told me one day when he got to grow big he was going to come back to get beans to eat. I WONDER IF HE STILL REMEMBERS OR NOT. | |
