Had an email from Daughter on Groote Island N.T. this morning to addvise that my son on
Bickerton Island NT. had been bitten by a King Brown Snake and had been flown to Gove nt.
hospital overnight and was under observation.
I rang the hospirtal as soon as I got word and he is ok thank goodness , He was only scraped by the snakes teeth not bitten and the venom was sitting on the skin and was not injected.
Hospital expect to fly him back to Bickerton Is. today.SUCH A RELIEF.

Boy, he was so lucky, Gwen. Have a friend who got bitten on the knuckle from memory, as she picked up a rock to take along to a friend for her rockery, and it was such a slight bite, by an ordinary Brown, that she didn't even feel it. She certainly suffered though, ended up in hospital very sick indeed.
