PostSubject: May In The Veggie Patch..   Tue May 26, 2009 12:18 pm

Lots of seeds planted only problem all this rain and they disappear.
Replanted the Sugar Snap Peas in the spaces at the back this morning.
There are lots of carrots up in the front and radish and a few Bok choy

More Sugar Snap peas in this bed with Butter-head Lettuce and a Bok Choy:

Plenty of Spring Onions planted them from Eden Seeds :

Cos Lettuce seedlings bought 10 days ago:

Frilly lettuce I planted from seeds:

Silver Beet Seedlings for the chooks I had to lift them up after that rain
They are coming on fine now.

And the way these are bolting the chooks will get these too..

Four Beef Steak Tomato Plants two are growing very well on the right ..
Cannot say the same for the two on the left side though Question

Oh dear, this inspires me to plant vegies. Wasn't intending to but if we get a reasonable winter I will curse not having done it. It all looks so tasty, Mary-Anne, and I love the look of that frilly lettuce.

They are a nice tasting lettuce Betty only one problem they have a red seed in the packet as well, if you look very close at that pic you will see a dark red one near the top of the green ones..

Yes they are doing ok this year Gail the rain make them grow so much better..

Not that red lettuce Gwen it has leaves on it like branches reminds me of a coral branch and to me those leaves are bland and tough, I like the red Mignonette though..
