| No idea what it is pics not clear enough I did not have the right lens on. I took it on the run as I was busy too. What do you think... My guess it could be a Hover-fly though a lot different to the ones we usually have here.. | |

Nothing wrong with the photos... just the angle makes Ids difficult but the photos themselves look good. | |

| Thanks Gwen.. Yes the little insect is pretty.. Thank You Too Gail, but there is no way I would put a bad pic like any of these on the art site, even though the members from the Northern Hemisphere love our different insects and animals.. | |

| Had a little time now to look that fly up so I got on to the Brisbane Insect Site and started looking for flies. I found it.. Its Episyrphus viridaureus a Black Banded Hover-fly first time I have seen this one.. | |

| It depends on what you mean by better... what's good for one is not for another... it just comes down to personal taste... a perfect picture (though no such thing as perfect) doesn't always have to be perfectly focused and composed... but it has to have that something special that sets it off from the others... umm... I've never been able to find the right word but whenever we see photo displays in town, the ones that draw the eye and the crowds aren't always the sharpest or the correctly composed ones. I was actually talking to a lady at the last show we saw who was saying something along the same lines. | |
