between showers

A few pics from between the showers...it was so odd today...it consisted of rain/pause.. rain/pause.
I love this particular Clivia...some sort of hybrid...the darn tag had 4 possible names. Maybe it is Clivia nobilis ??

This area is part of the Northern side garden..it will leap ahead once the sun moves overhead, the fence tends to shade it in winter.

I found this an interesting subject ....the smaller snail (right side) is a native, carnivorous snail and is having a snack..after he finished there was NO sign of the baddie.

Finally some Jonquils..this lot very rarely flower...maybe our area (temperate) is too warm for them?

I'm not an expert on Clivias but it looks like a species to me.

Check out Clivia mirabilis.

Lovely area there Fay.. Interesting about the snails too, I have not seen a snail since my Melbourne garden and I don't want to either having enough other nasties around.. Lovely Jonquils also, something else I have not seen for many years yes its too warm here for those too but I have some interesting green leaves up that could be those or daffs that Cheryl sent me quite a while back.. Gorgeous Clivia looks like the one Marlene named.

Thumbs up for the snail. Cute little mouse (I think it is?) on the bird bath. Looks a pretty area. Jonquils are more tolerant of warmer weather than daffodils so hope you gets lots more flowers.

Thanks folks. Last night I found some old notes regarding the Clivia and the fellow from the markets thought it may be 'Clivia miniata x gardenii'.
When I look at this link, I do believe he is correct.
