My lovely neighbour bought me in two long cuttings of this one yesterday..
The flower dropped off so I popped it in the Lily Pond.. Very Happy

Unknown Hibiscus: A very large Single..

Its a big cold yet and early for cuttings but I potted up four today I do hope they take though I would not be surprised if they don't as Noela got them from the gardens at her bowling club and they probably sat in her closed car in the sun for many hours as they were very limp when she gave them to me..

I like the markings on that one. Hope they take for you... sometimes I really wish I had a heated propagation box or similar.

I love the markings too Gail its so different to what I have.
I know what you mean. I put the pots on a shelf on the landing in the day where Tony used to put steak out for the Birds as I had noticed that timber gets quite warm at times..

Gwen I have put two cuttings in each pot and cut the top end off a plastic soft drink bottle and put over them, I ran out of empty bottles today as I also potted up Lavender and Rosemary cuttings and planted tomato seeds.

Thats giving them every chance MA . The flower looks like you've sprinkled it with talcum powder.

Its suppose to be a very cold night tomorrow Gwen so I may put them in the lounge room where its nice and warm...Then again they could cook so best I leave them on the laundry sink cupboard..

Talcum powder you say Gwen I don't think I have any, forget that yes I do I have a container of No Name and I sprinkle it on the window ledges when the ants try and come in that stops them in their tracks, and no there is none on that flower..

When I first seen it, I though it looked like ART done in oils or pastels its so different..
