| Some pretty colours there. You wouldn't want that plover to nest in your yard but good visitors. | |

| Thanks Gail ..Yes there are such lovely colours out there in the garden at present..
You are right there Gail, that Plover visits every morning just before 7 and sometimes again around 4pm I cannot imagine much food in our grass, nothing worse that one of them nesting on the lawn.. | |

| At the bottom of the lily pond on the right is a Freesia and the bigger one on the left is a Liriope its an Australian Native. Creamy/pink/beige kind of coloured flowers then followed my stems of black or dark purple berries | |

| Mary-Anne, have you got the purple liriope I've got? If not, I must remember to send you some next time... btw, Liriope isn't a native. | |

| Funny I tossed that over last night when I could not sleep Gail but wasn't sure as I got the spelling from an Aussie site with grasses. Thanks for that, it grows well here with no watering doesn't it.. If you mean purple flowers no I don't have one. .Tell you what I do have though two tiny seedling plants of the Grevillea banksii white I found these two seedlings under the bigger tree in May so I potted them up for you seeing both of us has had no luck germinating the seeds for two years.. I am just waiting for them to get a little bigger then I will post them up one of them is getting a new leaf now so it wont be long..We reckon its a taller tree than the red flowered one ours is close on 6 mts now.. I just hope its not Gb red dispersed by the birds as its hard to tell the difference from the leaves, only flowering time will tell mind you there are no reds within 50 mts but that does not mean anything does it ... | |
