Faye got a couple of packets of these little balls called" Enviro Soil" at a novelty shop, the amount of these jellylike beads in a packet would fill a teaspoon but when added to a litre of water they swell up and absord all the water,
they look pretty but have no other benefit .I am striking a little piece of a white native Hoya here . I did'nt know till last week that you can strike Hoya in water ,I 'vs struck lots of plants in water but never Hoya, there's a first for everything and there are little roots starting after 4 days in water.

Never seen them before... strange looking things scratch Didn't know that about hoyas either. I was just looking at those hoya cuttings you sent me. They are doing well, haven't grown much but look to have a good set of roots. I moved them into the new shade area this morning so hopefully will start to grow once the weather warms up.

Marlene , I think you could try any novelty shop or cheap charlie shops .Faye
has had them for ages and can't remember where she got them , they are They are made in China.
Gail I think as soon as you get warmer weather those Hoya will power away.
Marlene any flowers on your Hoya yet . My macgillvrayii are flowering again , they flowered when the Darwin family were here mid June and now a new lot of flowers opening.
They are Australia's largest Hoya flower.
