| Took these pics a few weeks back through the insect screen. The Blue Faced Honeyeaters love the Calliandra flowers. As much as I watching them | |

| Lovely as it is Gwen is, we have two and they seed something terrible if all the birds did not love them as much I would have ripped them out years ago.. Its a lot of work pulling up hundreds of seedlings a week..

| I have that seeding problem with the Poinciana's , In the forest we get hundreds of rainforest tree seedlings but they don't survive long they need a little break in the canopy for the tree seedlings to survive . | |

| Gosh I feel for your Gardener as its a terrible problem. My lovely neighbour has a red one like ours that does not seed I have tried to find it in the shops over the years but had no luck at all but when I do I will certainly plant one or two.. Work calls lunch time over.. | |

| The one thing I didn't like about pulling out the pink calliandra seedlings when we had one was the long taproot they had. If we didn't get it out it would just regrow, also glypho wouldn't work the first time - we'd have to spray them 2 or 3 times before they'd die. Never had a problem with the red groundcover one though Gwen, by the time the poinciana seeds are ready here it is winter and too cold and dry for the seeds to germinate. I've only ever seen a couple of seedlings manage to start. | |

| I pull all those seedlings up when they are a couple of days old, and every day that way they don't get out of hand its a lot of work but has to be done for many weeks at a time. | |
