| Thanks Betty yes I did I ate half of the SS Peas, I am not one for cooked carrots I prefer them raw, Tony enjoyed them though. I had pumpkin one we grew also. Gail not many to pick in one day yet, though there are plenty of flowers and small peas on the vines I love this time of year there is so much in the garden to eat.. | |

If you have something planted... too much to do to even get into the vegies lately though I did manage to get some more seeds planted this morning. What vegies I do have are doing ok though the cold slows them down Onions, shallots and lettuce are doing well but was late getting tomatoes planted so didn't start bearing enough for winter - only getting a few. I can't wait to get the spring/summer vegies in which are our favourites - tomatoes, cukes, watermelon & other melons and corn, also getting low on pumpkins again - at least silverbeet, lettuce, peas and beans grow all year. | |

| Yes then Spring and Summer bring nice eating too Gail, we dont bother so much in Summer as long as we have cukes, lettuce, tomatoes, radish and spring onions I am very happy.. We are on our last pumpkin now I didn't worry about them as I had too many last year these just came up by themselves and I dont think I even watered them due to all the rain we got | |
