Sorry Marlene ask Gail. I'll have a $1 each way guess at the genus Billbergia ,and thats from me who knows nought about Bromeliads.

Gwen is right about being a Billbergia but that is all I can be definite on. I have a B 'Louise' which is very similar except it is striped. It is a hybrid of Billbergia distachia (pic taken last year - just starting to flower again now and looks much better)


Yours looks very similar to B distachia but I couldn't say for sure. Here is a link to some photos
