Thanks Fay .. Little Barney is always hungry Very Happy And guess what he likes us and is getting quite used to Tony now, who feeds the family strips of steak every second or third day.. I was out there today taking pics of a Frangipani high up so had my Telephoto Lens on and I finally managed to get a couple of decent pics of this darling baby bird trying to catch the meat balancing on the cable banana banana

Thanks also Gwen.. I have noticed that some of last years baby coloured ones are getting black heads now then they lose all their brown feathers and turn into the Black White and Grey Butcherbirds that we know..

That's a lovely rosella you get up there, Mary-Anne. Wouldn't it be lovely if you could have all the different rosellas in certain areas. I'd shift there. LOL.

We have stacks of Eastern Rosellas but the one you speak of, the Crimson Rosella, a magnificent bird, has only graced us with its presence in two of the drought years I guess when food was scarce in its own area. Juveniles appeared the first year, followed by adults the next, that stayed to eat every last cotoneaster berry, then disappear.
