Do I see a blush of pink on the underside of the foliage?
It reminds me so much of the P. erubescens which I grow, although the petiols on my plant have the blush of red.

Ellie .Thanks so much . I think you are right in choosing Philodendron erubescens "red emerald"..I have a bigger old mother

plant that has the flower , red spathe with pure white spadix . I think the one I asked for I.D. on is the same but a youner

plant and not yet displaying the red tendencies .The old mother plant puts out a new deep pink leaf whenever it has a growth

spurt.thanks Ellie

Oooo, purely a lucky guess, that. Smile
I hesitated to post it, really. So glad if it helped.

Ellie , see if you are just as lucky with this one.

This was taken months ago

This was recently

Its ended up with a tri lobed leaf. I like it very much . The closest I could get was one called mexicana or similar I just forget. It annoys me when I
can't find the I.D. for my plants.

Yes, I agree Betty, this one appears to be P. mexicanum, it's very handsome.

I like to have IDs for my plants, too - but I find that Philos can be especially tricky and frustrating, there is so much variability, they are free spirits. *lol*

Most welcome.
If we were neighbors, I would soon be by with my pruners
and I'd bring along some cuttings to share from my Philos.
