| Dont ya hate it when they are just colouring up and down comes the rain 159mm of it in two days And splits your Tommies its enough to make you These are the Beefsteak toms I planted err I forget now I will hop over to the other Forum Back again http://gardendelights.forumco.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3157&whichpage=1 Planted them the end of January, been eating them for about two weeks now Had a sandwich the other night for dinner on top of thick slices of just cut ham.. They are a very nice tomato they are not very big but taste good A bit watery because of the rain so maybe better when the soil dries out a bit. | |

| That sandwich looks so yumm M A Some tomatoes split worse than others ive noticed,i've got one growing in my tunelhouse called Jade Beauty where everyone has split even though its had no water over its foliage | |

| That's the trouble... we need the rain but it comes with its own problems. I've lost a few oranges and mandarines due to the rain but that's good in one way as all the trees are loaded and, if anything like last year, it was a struggle to get through them all. | |

| Thanks Richard, even the lettuce came from the garden Yes nice ham that we buy it in pieces now and cut our own I hate that sliced ones from the SMarkets.... Daniel I recommend this one I got them at Big W I think if not then Bunnings.. You are right Gail we have about 15 here now plus whats on them too many for us.... At least there are no fruit fly about to get in the splits.. | |
