Dan they can be very bland but cooked correscty YUM . EDIBLE parts of Choko , young leaves,
eaten raw or stir fried.
THE NUT INSIDE THE CHOKO IS EDIBLE RAW OR COOKED

We have a choco vine and baby choco,s on it, we grew it from a choco i bought at the vegie shop flower

I love them steamed with butter (naughty, naughty), salt and lots of pepper.
The only thing I dislike is the feel of them when peeled...sort of slimy. Ack

i have only ever added them to soups and stews for bulk so i must try them with the Butter and Pepper
Hubby loves quinces so I will have to put a tree in for him flower

Kerrie baked one the other day - that was pretty good - I'm not really a fan when boiled (tasteless) but baked seemed to be OK.
