| Thanks for the welcome back!
The veggie patch is much neglected I am afraid. I have been suffering a bit with broken A/C, collapsing paving and other things which have sapped my wallet and inclination to do much.
I have my Ruddy money in hand now so I hope to put some of it towards getting the veggies back on track! I have to say I have been a bit taken aback at how expensive timber is for building raised garden beds, even second hand!
On the upside my rose garden is coming along well. Best Friend, Happy Child and Dark Lady have really found their feet as we have come out of summer. My three standards have also seemed to established themselves and the transplants are going well. The only ones dragging their heels are a couple of bare rooted roses I planted, double delight and apricot something. Hopefully they will come away in spring. | |

| Thanks Mary-Anne. I think my climate might be a little more forgiving than yours. Luckily I only really get hit by aphids in the spring and pyrethrum seems to control them pretty well...touch wood! | |
