Feel free to name the spider for me please I dont have time to look today Its one of those looking face on has four big black eyes. Hungry spider having its breakfast: Ladybird: Green Fly took this a couple of days ago Took these two below on Friday: Would like right ID for this Marsh or Solder Fly please Dont know this ones name either.. | Great pics. The spider looks like this one http://www.brisbaneinsects.com/brisbane_spiders/CytaeaJumpingSpider.htm
also on this page (scroll down on left hand side) http://www.xs4all.nl/~ednieuw/australian/salticidae/Salticidae.html
I'm not sure if 2nd from the bottom is a soldier fly. They don't usually have a snout like that... possibly a weevil type of thing. | |

| Yes it is a pretty colour Ota a very tiny spider though, only 10mm in length not only did I use my macro lens to take it I had to put a 2+ filter on it as well then crop it. so sorry to hear about the arachnophobia problem with your hubby I guess that means you have to take all the spiders outside.. | |

| Wonderful photos, Mary-Anne....very close and personal with the bugs... Have you ever thought of doing a book of your wonderful photos? I feel sure a lot of people would love to see such detail. Maybe a flower and bugs book? | |

| A calendar is a great idea for Chrissie gifts. I do them for my father and other relatives. The pictures depend on who its for. The bug ones would be great for the grandkids Cheap too, only costs about $3 to get them bound. | |

| Thank you Girls for your comments ... No I haven't Fay though I do enjoy getting out and looking for the bugs when I can.. Gwen that's a big word penultimate and I had no idea what it was so googled, for a minute there I thought it may had been the last day and it had me worried as its our 24th Anniversary ( 2nd time round for both of us ) on Monday 1st June and I thought I was having missing days too.. Yes a good idea Gail only problem most of my 12 Grandchildren are too old most are in their 20's one was 30 this year only the Brissie ones are teenagers and two younger ones in Melbourne, and speaking of that my Granddaughter got her Learners on Wednesday, she got all the question right in the first lot and missed two in the last lot, just scraped in she said but very happy all the same | |
