Had a great day on Friday in the City of Brisbane went for a ride on the City Cat
Up and down the river I was amazed at some of the things I seen

There are some nice looking buildings there, to me anyway..

Customs House is a cultural, educational and heritage facility
Of the University of Queensland.

Great Looking Paddle Steamer:

The Ferry terminals/stops look good too.

This Mansion reminds me a little of Tara in Gone with the wind.
I can almost picture Rhett saying to Scarlet Frankly my dear I don't give a Damm
As he leaps on his horse never to darken its doors again Crying or Very sad

Then there are the UGLY and plenty of them too all along the river side
Packed there like Housing Commission Flats with Million Dollar price tags.

I am so glad I live in the Suburbs, have trees and a garden around our house
No way could I live in places like those, but we all have different tastes..

Great shots. There is no way I could live in a city anymore either. At least Brisbane has retained a lot of the heritage buildings.

Thanks Gail I will have to go looking for them, I want a front on pic of Customs house, next time we go into the city we will get off the cat at Riverside or the stop before which is close to the Old Botanical Gardens and walk back we may be able to see more I will have to research for these Heritage buildings..

No Housing commission tenant could afford to live in those Cheryl.
Those tall ones that used to be in Fitzroy and Collingwood in the 60's were a eyesore my grandmother used to live in one block in Carlton, not as tall as those ones but ugly all the same.. I wonder if they are still there..
