| Gwen I have pots of Freesia in different places and some in the ground not many though I would give it a try I dont see why they wont, they are not big bulbs like daffs or tulips, to me they are more like Babiana and Sparaxi and they grow here, some of my freesia are six years old that yellow one is it could even be older plenty of perfume as I walk down the back step from those pots.. Yes I love that Daisy but I find I have to water it every day, when I planted it I had to put I think it was four buckets of water into the hole so I could dig it up then I put more water in so that area would be wet it should be right after a week, we are having very drying winds at present that dont help.. | |

| So pretty. Those African Daisies should need less water when they settle in as I think you said they had only been planted a short while? They are one plant I never have to water.
Gwen, freesias should grow ok for you as long as they have good drainage as like most bulbs they can rot if sitting in water. Also choose a spot with very light dappled shade in the middle of the day. | |
