banana banana Have been out on the scooter ,Miss Pixie and I.

My lovely surprise was the first flower on the Iris from MA , White outer petals inner a lovely violet blue and inside those petals a mottled browny colour , Im not sure but I think its Neomarica gracilis .
Also the first flower on the ground cover from Gail Centradenia grandiflora.
A few days ago was first flowering of Ruellia brittoniana so I am being spoilt this week .
The man who is redoing the driveway will be here first thing tomorrow , I've had to cancel John comming in the morning but luckily he can come friday afternoon.Next week he will be away.
I look forward to a smoother ride on the scooter , the drive way has been getting rather rough and bumpy lately. banana banana

MA Thank you for going to the trouble of finding those pics . I will have to have a check to compare flowers when I can get out later today.

Thanks Gail for the pics, love them.

The little red mean machine makes me think of the lady up the road who is like you Gwen but her little machine is blue. She has an orange flag on it and when she goes along our road that is all we can see from the house... just this little orange flag going along... it looks quite funny, took us a while to realise what it was the first time! Our house is about 100m uphill from the road and there are trees and shrubs screening us so we can't see the actual road. Another way she gets around sometimes by a shetland pony pulling a little cart though she only goes about 200m down the road to a friends place that way. She has to have a friend harness the pony for her though.

Maybe tomorrow afternoonm when I go out I wii find another iris flower to compare . I'll see if I can get Faye to take a pic of the iris and the new driveway.

Gail my first scooter was saphire blue and when it gave out I got this red one which is a different brand and not a patch on the first one which has suspension on 4 wheels plus lots of better features and was far more comfortable. The first one I had was NZ made , Named Invacare" Metior" My son in Darwin had it shipped over as thwere was no agent in QLD.it cost $500 . the one I got to replace it was $3000 that was dear enough . If I ever need to replace this one I wil go for the NZ one.
I have a red satin flag made by Faye.
