| I was hoping that I would be seeing the Victorian roses by now.. Are they blooming yet girls or has it been to cold or is it too early Not much in my garden today.. Only a full blown Julia's Rose And an ageing Brass Band all taken with the wrong lens | |

| Too early for mine, Mary-Anne, seeing they are all young roses. Bonica put up one weird looking rose, probably because of the cold. Going to be 3C tonight. Your Brass Band is certainly a gorgeous rose, has to be put on my wish list. | |

| Gee 3° last night Betty humm that is cold, any wonder the little rose buds dont want to leave their warm beds, cant say I blame them Speaking of warm, the night here are warming up our lows are now 17° and the morning are warming up very quick its 25° now. Funny how the roses do strange things when it gets cold, Iceburg and Gold Bunny here come out in pink spots Guess I will have to wait a little longer to see your pics.. On well: Good Things Come To Those That Wait... | |

| Yes, it did make it down to 3C and it's 11.9 now. We have rain forecast for Monday, showers for the rest of the week, and if we get the lowest estimate it would be an inch of rain, the highest over 2 inches. So, while it's fine I am going to spray for aphids, then straight into the mowing again. The roses aren't far off Mary-Anne, a lot have buds. | |

| My buds are covered in aphids Betty I just take them off by sliding my hand down, I cant be bothered anymore the roses here are more worry than they are worth Its a little warmer 29.6° degrees at present .. Rain sounds good Betty the roses will love it, its so dry here not much grass to mow either, well some of its still green but most is drying out.. Looking forward to those buds opening Betty | |

| Thanks Val they are all very pretty I like Ebb Tide what a delightful colour. And speaking of colours your Gold Bunny is so bright compared to my one Which is almost bordering on cream with pink spots Thats what too much does to the pretty blooms up here.. | |

| Probably a good thing that's there is not much sun down south Val, you dont need another Summer like last year do you.. I feel we are going to have a hot one for a change seeing we have had rain the past two the Summer the weather has been cool. Thanks Val they are both pretty roses a metre apart both standards | |

| Val, where did you get Brindabella Swirl? I see that Treloars and Mistydowns didn't have it in their catalogues. Very delicate colours swirling there. | |

| Maryanne, I have been trying to email you here but it just keeps going back to wanting me to log in again. I will try again after this post and it may work now. I want to send you some Iries that I owe you. I didn't know this forum had moved to a new one until I found out from Pamela. That's also why I started trying to contact you through the Garden Web but I realised they don't have private email. I hope you are well. Karen | |

| Being fairly new to roses imagine my surprise when Mary Rose popped out this two tone rose. Could be quite common , just that I have never seen a pink and white rose like that. | |

| I'll try for a cutting later and try and grow it. My sister said that Mary Rose is renowned for producing sports. | |

| Did you notice it's a hybrid tea rose on an English style David Austen? Most peculiar. | |
