i haven't tried it yet...but there is a direct load facility in the message composition window. i think it opens another picture hosting site...so still a lot like PB, i'm assuming, but not really quite sure cuz i haven't done it yet.

Welcome back, Ed. I use the direct 'host an image' button here on GD.I resize my pics in my PC first, which means when I use the hosting facility it is fast.

I wonder why its keep making my replies disappear

yes...mary-anne is right.
to turn off the annoying emails...click the yellow profile button under the main banner (our picture)...then find where it says 'preferences'....right underneath the FAQ button...and turn off those dratted emails.

as for avatar...you can upload directly from your computer. no need to send them to me any more.
