Around Qld And NSW On Our Holiday

A few pics from our holiday a few weeks back..
Most taken through the windscreen or the side window of the car
Doing the legal 110kph that was permitted on the Newell Highway.

Driving out towards the West of South Qld we seen plenty of wheat country.



Our first stop for lunch was at Goondiwindi Qld beautiful buildings there
As we went through the main street the Victoria Hotel caught my eye



The clouds had been building up all day
And during the night at Narrabri NSW the rain heaved down.



Next Morning we headed for Dubbo wont say too much about it.
But we will never go again More wheat country.



I got very bored during the long drives so took hundreds of Pics
Most of them were of the big rigs and this one was most important
Australia Post bringing the mail up to the North..



Dubbo down the main street which is the Newell Highway.



After dropping our things off at the Cabin we hired.
Off we went to the Western Plains Zoo..

And if you would like to see any more pics Please tell me
As I know holiday pics can be very boring.
And its no good me wasting my time if no one is going to look at them.

There are some great old buildings around I believe Toowoomba has lots them I would not mind going there for a couple of days, its on my wish list..

Fabulous photo's, Mary-Anne. The clouds look so dramatic, that first photo is lovely. The hotel is great, isn't it? Very impressive. Makes me wonder what dramas and happenings have occured during it's lifetime. At Narrabri was that a thunderstorm, or did it just rain? It really captures that calm before the storm impression. What did you dislike so much about Dubbo?

More photo's please. I like seeing places I probably will never visit.

Thanks Betty, a lot of these pics are done in HDR which is a program where you merge three or more photo's taken on multiple exposures. I use this one ( http://www.hdrsoft.com/ have a read ) it brings the clouds out so much better and highlights different parts of the photos you do it by tone-mapping I am teaching myself and some times I over do it.

Yes the hotel is great there is a bit of info on line about it.. Yes it was a thunderstorm at Narrabri and rained for many hours that night.

Dubbo, lots of things Betty best I don't say much here though..

Ok I will put more photo's on when I get some more time..

Only found some bees Cheryl I will put them on later I have got to put some Dubbo Zoo ones on first I was resizing them late last night then went to sleep at the computer desk for a while, woke up after 2 am and went to bed guess I was tired

Soon Cheryl I am terribly busy gathering the last of the seeds I want to post for some one I am so upset and nervous today and after sorting all the chaff out and popping them into a envelope I picked the wrong end up and spilt the jolly lot into the keyboard and all over the floor thankfully Tony helped me pick them up..
