I had a lovely day out with the club today and we visited the Mornington Community Rose Garden. It was built and is maintained by volunteers. I was astounded by the quality of these roses, they were all bursting with health and full of blooms. 230 varieties of roses and about 2,500 plants. What a glorious place for rose nuts like me!
I took some pics, but couldn't remember the names of all the roses.
Here's a few,

They are beautiful Val. I have just arrived home from the Qld Rose Society meeting. Kerrie was given a bunch of roses from the show tonight - the house is filled with a beautiful scent.

Thanks Folks.
Yes it's a big place Richard, and they have a rotunda there which is perfect for weddings! I should have taken more photos but I was too enthralled by the roses LOL.

Oh Gwen, I really don't know for sure. I would guess about 3 acres. It's pretty big.

Mary-Anne - there is a public rose garden at New Farm Park.

Since joining the QLD Rose society I have been to a couple of private ones.

Those roses look beautiful Val. It is lovely to walk around so much beauty but I usually get overwhelmed. Wonderful to determine which roses you love and yes - would be lovely to be married in such a place!

Betty, I'd love to become a frequent visitor to the gardens, but we don't very often go to places like that, and I don't drive any more so that limits me. I'm sure that I will go again though.

At least you have visited it, Val, and that's more than I will do. I suppose there is so much to see and do down there anyway.
