| Lovely combinations of foliage colour, Gwen ...I wish it was warm enough here to plant such lovelies. I have trouble keeping them alive in the fernery over winter. | |

| Thank you all for remarks , yes the shade gardens are a joy to me also ,I love the contrasting colours and different leaf shapes .The thing is living in the tropigs plants, that cost an arm and leg down in the deep south grow here like weeds.I was talking to John last week as he was thinning out plants from some overgrown area's. He had 3 barrow loads of plants to dump in the area where he puts plants that someone may use .When anyone who gardens calls ,So Chery you are right it is they go through the pile and take what they want.Of course the plants left start to grow as well and I end up with another shade plant area. | |

No idea. I bought it for $2 at the Petrie Country Markets. There's a lovely old handicapped man who collects bits of plants (or sometimes weeds) from all over and pots them into whatever he can find. He charges $2 each and says it's his way of recycling. You have to sort through it but I like to buy a few things off him whenever we go. | |

| There are a couple of stalls like that at our markets too. I'v managed to find some less common plants that way, also some of the more common ones that you don't see in nurseries either. | |
