| Continuing my walk around the garden... The evergreen frangipanis have been growing and flowering well this season Heliconia 'Golden Torch' (I think) is the only heliconia that is doing well. The others are lucky to have a couple of leaves. This one hasn't stopped flowering for months. A couple of bromeliads starting to flower. This one is under a poinciana ... and this one is near the deck The little pink anthurium loves the weather we have been having lately. It nearly always has a flower on it Kaempferia, Peacock Ginger, hasn't stopped flowering since we got it a few months ago. I don't know the name of this dark leaf ginger, lost the tag somewhere. It hasn't done much since we've had it but since the last lot of rain it has grown a little. The leaves are a nice contrast. | |

| Thanks again Hopefully the evergreen will be big enough to take more cuttings soon. It has really grown the last few months... more than doubled its size. It is in a tough spot where it gets the full effects of the summer sun and watered by rain only. The bilbergia brom has been in for over 12 mths now and has only just started doing anything. | |

| I love the gingers,Gail. I am just getting into gingers...I thought I had lost some little ones when they died back...but they popped up again. It is amazing that I hadn't chopped them in half. | |

| Karingal .A lot of the very small gingers do go dormant, just remember where they are . Gail lovely pics as usual. The Plumeria do well without any attention once the get started ,they don't like fuss. | |

| Thanks all. I'm still deciding whether I like the gingers or not as I haven't had much luck with most of them... but they may just need time.
Everything in my garden has to be tough as I don't mollycoddle any of my plants... except a couple of special ones in pots  | |

| A few years ago the powers that be put in new by laws for the shire. Must admit something was needed as we had people camping anywhere they pleased ,rubbish everywhere including human waste. All camping will be only in caravan parks. Private camping is on very short term only. If you want to build, you can only live in a van on your block,if first your house plans have been approved and the house must be completed in an agreed time frame. Also an approved portable toilet must be on site. | |
