| Winter and the dry season brings out all the colour in the Sub-Tropical gardens the Bougainvillea and Poinsettia to name a couple The Poinsettia has started to change into their Winter Colours after being green for so long.. Not there yet though certainly on the turn.. Double red. Cream. Light Pink is very slow. And no sign at all of the single red changing into its winter colour though a few more cold mornings like this morning and it wont be long that's for sure.. | |

| The poinsettia do brighten up a dull winter day. Mine (the cuttings you gave me) are doing well and starting to colour too.
My bougies have just finished flowering but a trim back should bring then on again soon. | |

| Thats good to hear Gail, the huge red flowers last for many months, due to all the rain we have had I have pruned my doubles three times since the original cut after they finished flowering, so those plants are so tall this year well over two mts and just as wide.. My bougs started flowering early in the month, they never fail its always around Easter time, I got Tony to dig two out the other day must have close on 30 now and too much work for me these days.. If I can halve that I should be able to manage the pruning.. The roses are next to go... | |
