MA I think that applies to most of the CLERODENDRONS
I had C . paniculatum for years and then it died out which a lot of Cleronderon do , I was warned by the nurseryman to expect that . 10 years after it died out ,one plant popped up again in the place where they grew before, it was comming along nicely and I was so pleased to have it back.
I had the mower people in and they added a new man who obviously did'nt know plant from weed , you guessed it. POOFF ALL GONE ,but the root must still br there I'm hoping it will shoot again .This site gives pics of it.
