4 beauties Gail , that Dendrobium is gorgeous ,the little petal in the mouth ,so delicate,The freesia has a real buttery yellow colour.

Gal I think this IS your Dendrobium ...D delicatum a natural occuring hybrid cross of
D kingianumxD speciosum .HABITAT . great dividing range sth east QLD.

Thanks all. It's a pretty colour freesia but hope there are some other colours left too.

Thanks Gwen, Dendrobium rock orchid is as far as I had gotten in ID-ing it but ran out of time and never got any further.

A lovely bunch of flowers, Gail. Freesias are one of may favourite flowers...their perfume is to die for.

Thanks Fay. I love the freesia perfume too... I've actually picked a couple of stems and put them in the bathroom as an air freshener.

I have just been out on the scooter and discovered more turning over of mulch by the orange footed scrub fowl, and the variegasted pocket plant [ Xanthosoma atrovirens ] I had from Gail and was growing so well has been uprooted. Faye has potted it up, I'll keep it in a pot till the wet arrives and the fowls should no longer be interested in digging in my damp mulch, they will have acres of rainforest much to plough through.

My language is beginning to get BLUER by the day, I know that does'nt help but sure makes you feel better.Faye is going to put some sticks around some of my special small plants . After the small silver/white begonia got trashed she put a few sticks around the one that was left and the fowl have left that plant alone .
