Could be a case of why have a possum that eats your roses when you could have a Dusty instead? Laughing Maybe you should watch him if you see him on a rose bush again? He might be a good boy and only eating scale.

I didn't know it, Mary-Anne, but I had something eating my roses too. When they started dying I thought it was just the real bad heat last Summer, but as I pulled a few dead ones out this morning - and I'm talking cuttings which had got to the flowering stage, with roots - I see where one had slits in the bark and another scrape marks through it, while a third had been well chewed at the top. Don't know what caused the damage, like you, but I suspect cockatoos.

MA what a beaut little reptile ,I too hope its eating the scale.I could'nt see the reptile at first ,did

Betty we have had cockatoo's here too but only the once when I grew those huge sunflowers did they make a mess of them club

Yes it is a little beauty Gwen, It has been seen a few times in the garden so I think it is here to stay thumbs-up
