| What fabulous photos, MA. I love lorikeets...colourful, cheeky, noisy little fellows that they are. We get them here some times, usually in the Bottlebrush tree. No birds ever stop for a bath in our yard, sadly...although Mrs Magpie sometimes gets in the spray from the hose. | |

| Thanks Gail and yes it is near perfect Winter weather. No fire lit last night as the house was still warm with the underfloor insulation finished now the house is up to 6 degs warmer than out on the decking in the morning and that sure makes a difference.. | |

| Thanks Fay... We get lots of Lorikeets here morning and late afternoon at this time of the year the body is not up to taking pics that early in the morning otherwise I would as the light would be better.. We also have the blue faced Honeyeater that enjoys the lily pond throughout the day and even the Noisy Miners have lots of baths during the day..
Fay I think the reason we have so many birds here is because of the tall gum trees on our block they are covered in flowers at present little cream coloured ones too high up 25 mts to take any pics mind you plenty of twigs/branches on the driveway and garden beds so I get to see the occasional one that's not completely ruined..

Thanks Cheryl.. I gave a spray of those away to my neighbour this morning last pic bottom right seeing I had two.. Do you have that one.. Jolly long spikes a metre long could be more .. | |

| That I do know I think it was Marlene that gave me the name, I had narrowed it down to two and its Cymbidium tracyanum.. | |
