Just been out doling the rounds on the hoon machine . Was surprised to see the ground cover Dwarf Ruellia britoniana [ from Gail] has its first flower , I was expecting a blue flower and its a lovely lavender colour. So thats made my day ,also the orange footed scrub fowl did noe do any mining last night , Faye had strung up string between bamboo sticks ,and tied ribbons of chux cloths on the strings as an experiment , we are keeping fingers crossed to see if there is any holes tomorrow. She has also strung up old computer discs on strings .
I looked up the net to find the dwarf Ruellia "lavender" is called "BABY KATIE ".
.

That one is such a pretty little plant... not a big grower and flowers well... I'm glad it is doing well for you Gwen. Hopefully yours will soon grow like these - pics taken earlier this year

Although I have a big list of reasons why I wouldn't want to live in Queensland, I think there are 101 things in your gardens that make think it'd be good. That is a beautiful flower, love that colour. thumb2
