Faye came home yesterday with 2 new plants .First one [ no flowers on ]is a most beautiful Hibiscus an asutralian cultivar called H. "Eric Robert "its grows
1 1/2 meters on a dense bush, prolific flowerer, flowers 22 cm or 9 1/2 inch.

The other is one I've never grown ,A Plectranthus"mona lavender " The lael says its new and grows in shade to 80 cm =31 1/2 inches with a 60 cm spread.
does not spread like other members of the family .

I already have Plectranthus"mona lavender" , Gwen, though I got it as a much smaller plant(or was it a cutting?) off a neighbor. Your plant is superb. The lavender flowers go so well with those dark leaves. Thanks for the link, my plant might now find the right spot and thrive.

Thanks MA Its is a lovely colour.
Betty I was wondering about cuttings .No reason it won't grow from a cutting.

I have a feeling mine was a cutting, Gwen, it's about a foot high now.

LOvely photos, Gwen.
I was given a P. Mona Lavender in a pot. It hasn't flowered yet and wilts very easily if it's dry and also hates being wet!

i have to water it well every day till John returns on 31st Dec. Why do nurseries keep plants till the pot is full of roots . I SUPPOSE YOU ARE EXPECTED TO PLANT THEM THE DAY YOU BUY THEM.
