| I love them when they are cute - climbing in the trees at night...reaching across for seed or fruit when visitors are here.... But when it come to destroying my garden...there is within me a voice that says nasty little things. We are having a cage built at present - my vege cage. 10M x 6M; steel poles; chainwire around and over. Those who know possums well, can you tell me if they can get through chainwire...or do I need a smaller gauge wire wrapped over the chainwire? | |

| I don't know much about possums but I suppose it depends on what sort whether they could get through. The bigger brushtails I doubt would fit but the little ringtails and gliders would... but I don't think those ones do the damage that brushtails do. | |

| Pesky little things. We have them living in tool shed. Yesterday I disturbed a parent and tiny baby on its back. I'm afraid I am a soft touch...could not hurt them. | |

| They are a major pest here,we have a brushtail variety from Tasmania that are rear back in Tassie, maybe they should take some back ,we dont get too many around our place but up in the bush, there's millions. We've got quite a few Aussie critters here from Wallabies to flies, they all here | |

| It is really hard because I cannot be cruel; but I just wish all the possums and all the wild ducks would take all the bandicoots for a long walk somewhere else. | |

| Send them here, Dan, my outdoor cats love possums. We often find their remains in the garden. If mine don't get them, the feral cats in the forest would. | |

| I've never had a problem with Possums, found one in Mums lounge room one night....when she was in hospital, managed to get it outside without any trouble..thank goodness. We used to have Bandicoots at our last house, loved to have them around, they didn't do any damage and kept the slaters and millipedes under control. Some would wander into the house and some would allow me to stroke them....I miss em... | |
