The first Jonquil is open at last... took a while. Plenty of buds on the others too but be a while before they open.

Noticed the purple iris that Mary-Anne gave me ages ago has started flowering... has lots more buds on it too.

The seasins seem to be all out of kilter, Spring 1st September is usually when you expect to see spring bulbs flowering.Ilove the spring bulbs .

Mary-Anne, only one small area of our yard is still damp... the rest needs some rain badly but none in the near future.

I love the bright jonquils, so cheery looking. Gwen, this is the time the jonquils flowered last year which was colder than this winter. This year hasn't been too bad with only a couple of really cold nights though had a few more cooler than average days this winter.
