| On the weekend (garage sale) I bought two canvas art pieces at $1 each. They are rather interesting, insofar as the 'shapes' mounted on the canvas are cut out bits of styrofoam...which are then painted and then glued (??) onto the canvas. Here is where they are hanging at present (on the fence)...until I determine what it is I want to do with them. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- My second bit of arty farty fiddling is an old Singer Treadle sewing machine base...first pic is in the original condition...second pic shows a wood bath 'mat' sitting on the metal base (which has been stripped and repainted)..a temporary measure. Still not totally happy with the effect....if you know what I mean...giving it a bit more thought. I love this fiddling part of gardening.... always something new to think of. | |

| Hi Gwen, thanks so much for your kind words. No it's not Lymington Park...a lovely lady did tell the new name for the area..but I've forgotten.
The link below tells a bit of a tale about our area...(the house mentioned is approx 1/2 Km up the road...it has fabulous 360o views) ...I may be wrong but I think the water stream for the pond comes from that same coal mine...an underground spring...it is mentioned on the site. I have been to this garden on an 'open day' it is lovely....that was a few years back, so I imagine it is now, even more spectacular.

| I ended up taking a slat from the 'seat' and I feel it is now in proportion. I have kept the removed slat and may make a sign of some sorts ...or any other suggestions??? | |
